Problem Note 56084: The batch commands sas-recover and sas-recover-offline fail when the JSON file used as input data contains only the "forced" option

DetailsAboutRate It

When you use a JSON file that includes only the "forced" option as input data for the batch command sas-recover or sas-recover-offline, the command fails and returns the following error:

statusCode: 500 errorMessage: Internal Server Error occurred : N/A (through reference chain com.sas.svcs.admin.backup.rest.model.RecoveryOptionsMapper["forced"])

This problem has been resolved in SAS® 9.4 TS1M3.

For SAS 9.4 TS1M2 software, use the workaround described below.

Workaround

To work around the problem, edit the JSON file and specify a "comment" for the recovery.

The "comment" should be placed before the "forced" option.

Here is an example:

{ "comment": "Restore", "forced": "true" }

Use the modified file as input data for the batch command and verify that the error message described in this note no longer occurs.
